USM Joins Civil Service Fun Run University of Southern Mindanao (USM) employees joined fellow public servants in the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) Fun Run on September 4, 2026, in Makilala, Cotabato, as part of the celebration of the 126th PCSA. Representing USM were Dennis Sarmiento, Jackieline Estimo, Jean Saramosing, Marlon Marquez, Ella Mae Santos, Jayson Ty, Bernalou Malaque, Marcelina Borres, Venus Maongco, Vincent Philip Torres, Diether Barro, and Raynamie Jean Matillano. Barro secured the championship, while Matillano finished as first runner-up in the fun run, demonstrating USM’s participation to the province-wide celebration. The activity gathered officials and employees from Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), the academe, water districts, uniformed personnel, and other government institutions for a shared celebration of health, wellness, camaraderie, and public service. According to the Civil Service Commission (CSC), the PCSA Fun Run was held to honor the dedication, commitment, and sacrifices of Lingkod Bayan and Lingkod Bayani who continue to serve the public with integrity and excellence. The Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners, Cotabato Province Chapter, Inc. spearheaded the activity.
