
USM CEIT Invites Digital Creatives Ph for Autodesk Fusion 360 Training

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) received 20 sets of three-bin waste segregation stands from the MIT-USM Alumni Association during the Monday Convocation held at the façade of the University Administration Building on August 3, 2026.
Dr. Paul John B. Ongcoy, Alumni Regent, led the turnover of the project. He shared that the waste segregation stations will be distributed to the University’s colleges, other units and one for USM PALMA Cluster campuses. Joining the turnover were Association officers Dr. May Eva Garcia, and Dr. Edna Luz P. De Guzman.



Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel, USM President, together with the University’s Vice Presidents, formally accepted the donation on behalf of the University. In an interview, Dr. Pimentel expressed his appreciation to the MIT-USM Alumni Association for supporting the University’s environmental initiatives through the project.
He said: “Through the project of the association, it strengthens our advocacy on the No Single-Use Plastics Policy in the university, and it is a huge help for the colleges for effective waste segregation.”
