KABACAN, COTABATO — After identifying the 21 approved extension projects for 2027, the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) Extension Services Office (ESO) convened its College Extension Coordinators (CECs) on May 13, 2026, at the ESO TC Room to strategize implementation and chart systematic direction.
ESO Director Glyn B. Gabano-Magbanua, alongside Monitoring and Impact Assessment Unit Head Anamarie B. Uyangurin and Extension Unit Head Florence Roy P. Salvaña, initiated the meeting to ensure more organized and streamlined project management protocols.
“More than just focusing on the implementation, we also need to ensure the sustainability of our projects,” said Unit Head Salvaña as the meeting started, emphasizing that the value of extension work lies in its long-term impact rather than immediate outputs.
The core of the discussion focused on budget allocations, component designations, and the charting of possible activities. By planning a year in advance, the ESO aims to streamline the transition of projects from the proposal stage to actual field execution, ensuring that resources are maximized and community goals are met.
After gathering its CECs, ESO is now set to finalize the operational work plans and budgetary requirements for the upcoming cycle. This continued foresight underscored the office’s commitment to administrative excellence and resource optimization.
