The Vice President for Resource Generation and Entrepreneurial Services (VPRGES) highlighted its essential role in supporting the university’s initiatives during the Pag-uulat 2024 on December 3, 2024 at the College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) Psychosocial Research & Psychological Testing Center, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Dr. Samsudin Panday, who leads the office, presented how resources and strategies managed by VPRGES have significantly contributed to the success of research activities, community programs, and entrepreneurial ventures.
In his report, Dr. Panday emphasized that the VPRGES played a key role in enhancing facilities. He reported that it allowed students and faculty to conduct meaningful research and ensured that the necessary area was in place. The office also allocated funds to address critical needs, like improvements in infrastructure, procurement of vehicles, and covering other essential expenses.
Moreover, the VPRGES extended its impact by supporting the university’s extension programs through the effective use of resources. Dr. Panday also highlighted the role of the university’s radio station, DXVL, which was utilized to inform and educate the community. Additionally, the office opened spaces for local businesses, offering them opportunities to thrive and engage with the university community.
Towards the end of his report, Dr. Panday expressed his gratitude to the university president, thanking him for the trust and confidence placed in his leadership. He noted that this trust has been instrumental in enabling the VPRGES to effectively support the university’s programs and initiatives.
Looking forward, Dr. Panday reaffirmed the VPRGES’s commitment to maximizing resources, empowering research, and extension activities, and ensuring the sustainable growth of entrepreneurial efforts.
