The University of Southern Mindanao Employees’ Credit Cooperative (USMECCO) held its 21st General Assembly on March 14, 2025, at the University Laboratory School (ULS) Convention Hall, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

The assembly served as an avenue for the election of new USMECCO officials. Dr. Geoffray R.  Atok secured the highest votes for the Board of Directors with 313, followed by Dr. Jay-R G. Vildac with 230, and Ms. Janice P. Bangoy with 212.

The event also featured discussions on membership growth, revealing an increase from 573 members in 2023 to 597 in 2024. Various reports, including the Audit and Inventory Committee Report and the Credit Committee Report, were presented, providing members with insights into the cooperative’s financial status and available loan programs.

In addition to financial matters, a seminar on Gender and Development (GAD) was conducted, covering key topics such as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law (RA 7877), the Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313), and HIV/AIDS awareness. These discussions reinforced USMECCO’s commitment to member education and social responsibility.

This year’s general assembly gathered 404 attendees that further strengthened USMECCO’s role in supporting the financial well-being of its members.
