The USMart Technology Business Incubator (USMart TBI) officially launched the first Flicker Mentoring Session for its Cohort 2 incubatees with a focus on Entrepreneurial Mindsetting, held last September 26, 2025, at the USM Commercial Building.
The session was facilitated by Mr. Christopher G. Francisco, CEO of Nasya Business Consultancy and Entrepreneur-in-Residence of USMart TBI, who emphasized the crucial role of mindset in entrepreneurship. He highlighted that while resources, technology, and strategies are important, it is the mindset that allows innovators to recognize opportunities, navigate challenges, and sustain growth in the face of uncertainty.
This year’s Cohort 2 incubatees represent a diverse pool of innovators: faculty and staff, students, and external entrepreneurs from Cotabato Province and BARMM—underscoring USMart TBI’s mission of fostering inclusive innovation across sectors.
Through this session, participants were guided to strengthen their resilience, creativity, and problem-solving abilities, setting the tone for the upcoming mentoring activities under the Flicker Stage of the incubation program. The program is the core incubation stage to help startups transform their ideas into viable business ventures that contribute to regional development and economic growth.
The mentoring series will continue with specialized sessions designed to equip incubatees with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to scale their ventures and thrive within the dynamic startup ecosystem of SOCCSKSARGEN and BARMM.
