The University of Southern Mindanao on Adaptable and Resource-efficient Technologies-Technology Business Incubator (USMart TBI), led by Dr. Jalaloden B. Marohom, proudly participated in the Kidapawan Travel, Trade, and Art Exhibition B2B Session held at The Atrium, Gaisano Grand Mall, Kidapawan City, on February 9, 2025.
The event brought together local entrepreneurs, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), and startups to showcase their innovations, creativity, and business excellence. It also served as a platform for businesses to expand their networks, explore opportunities, and promote their products.
During the session, Dr. Marohom, along with Reynel Revilla from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – Cotabato Province and Ivy Grace Blanco, Provincial Coordinator of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), shared valuable insights on business development, technology adoption, and innovation strategies. Their discussions highlighted essential services and opportunities available to support the growth of MSMEs and startups.
As part of the event, USMart TBI showcased its business development services and emphasized the importance of value addition to local products. Several of its startups also displayed their innovative offerings, including SorTech Bean, FreshBytes, PixelForge, i-shroom, MecaoTech, and R&V Egg Incubator Manufacturing. These startups demonstrated how research and technology can drive entrepreneurship and economic progress.
Beyond celebrating Kidapawan City’s thriving business landscape, the event highlighted the collaborative efforts of key institutions in fostering economic growth, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Through knowledge-sharing and partnerships, initiatives like this continue to empower local enterprises and create opportunities for a more dynamic business environment.
