The Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) beneficiaries of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) once again received their ₱7500 worth of cash assistance through the Provincial Government of Cotabato and Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP) on June 20, 2025, at the ULS Convention Center, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Charles Gajo, a student from the College of Trades and Industries (CTI), expressed his gratitude to the sponsors of the TDP program. He said it was a huge help for him as a student in as well as to the graduating students of USM.
“Nagpapasalamat ako dahil isa ako sa mga napili sa mga napakaraming humahangad sa scholarship na ito… napakalaking tulong nito sa aking pag-aaral bilang third year student sa aking thesis at sa pang-araw-araw na gastos.”He underscored.
In his message, Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel, the USM President, expressed his appreciation to the Cotabato Province as well as to TUCP led by Hon. Raymond Democrito Cañete Mendoza. He encouraged the students to continue to do well in their studies and to be role models to others.
Moreover, Board Member Karen Michie De Guzman represented Hon. Governor Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza in the activity. In her message, BM De Guzman recalled her days in college. She reminded the students to spend the incentives wisely.
“Never forget to treat yourselves because you deserve that… you studied well for that.” She spoke.
The Office of Student Affairs (OSA), led by its Director Ma. Leida M. Donque, spearheaded the activity.
