Students from the Philippine Society of Information Technology Students (PSITS) and the Chemistry Department of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) participated in the Philippine Startup Challenge 10 – Region XII North Cotabato Provincial Pitching Competition held on October 6, 2025, at the USM Commercial Building, Kabacan, Cotabato.

The competition, organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), served as a platform for young innovators to present technology-driven startup ideas addressing real-world challenges.

Seven teams composed of students from USM and Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) competed in the pitching event.

Two teams from USM are set to advance to the Regional Pitching Competition: Top 1 – Team Project DeepGreen (PSITS) and Top 2 – Team AiGenZ (Chemistry Dept.)

PSITS extends its gratitude to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the USMaRT Technology Business Incubator (TBI) for their unwavering support and continued commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurial development.

The Philippine Startup Challenge 10 showcased the creativity and excellence of student innovators, strengthening the region’s startup ecosystem and inspiring the next generation of tech-driven entrepreneurs in Mindanao and beyond.
