USM soars as one of Asia’s Outstanding Academic Institutions

Earlier today, the University of Southern Mindanao was awarded as one of Asia’s Outstanding Academic Institutions by CMO Asia with Asian Confederation of Businesses as its strategic partner and Stars of the Industry Group as research partner.

The award was received by Prof. Lydia Pascual, Director, USM Research and Development Office at Pan Pacific, Singapore. The certification was provided by World Federation of Academic and Educational Institutions.

The awards of the highest reputation are presented to individuals and institutions which have surpassed several levels of excellence, are set as role models, and displayed exemplary leadership. Specifically, they were evaluated based on the following: educational achievement, placements, leadership, class infrastructure, student impact (internal to the organization), and future orientation.

Institutions were intensely researched and were not required to submit documents. The research cell consisted of individuals with Post Graduate Studies in History & Management and with over 7 years of research experience.

Other awardees from the Philippines were UP Baguio, MSU GenSan, CMU, and Southern Leyte State University.

The recipients expressed gratitude to CMO Asia, World Federation of Academic and Educational Institutions, Asian Confederation of Businesses, and Stars of the Industry Group.
