USM Receives ICONS Awards 2024

The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) is the only Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Region XII conferred with the Internationalization Champion of Nation-building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2024 (International Rankings Awards) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) today, December 16, 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Manila.

According to CHED International Affairs Service (IAS), the Ranking Awards are given to Philippine HEIs that championed the global reputation of Philippine higher education through their commendable performance.

USM is among the country’s institutions that excelled in international rankings, including the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking, and Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.

Notably, USM is in Rank 901+ in QS Asia University Rankings, and Rank 1501+ in THE Impact Rankings.  Part of the Certificate of Commendation states: “The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is proud of this institution for their notable contributions to the field of higher education.”
