The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) secured Rank 2 in the Top Performing Schools Category B (101–199 examinees) in the February 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination, following the release of results by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on March 13, 2026.

Out of 109 examinees, 106 successfully passed the examination, all of whom were first-time takers, giving the university an impressive 97.25 percent passing rate.

Adding to the university’s achievement, Menrhyan Godwin Paredes Valdez landed in Rank 6 among the topnotchers of the licensure examination after obtaining a 92.15 percent rating.

The ranking placed USM among the country’s top performing schools under Category B, which covers institutions with 101 to 199 examinees and at least 80 percent passing rate.

The Criminology Licensure Examination is administered by the PRC through the Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology to determine the competence of graduates seeking to become licensed criminologists in the Philippines.
