Dr. Edward A. Barlaan, a Professor Emeritus from the University of Southern Mindanao, presented his research paper titled: โ๐๐ก๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐น-๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ: ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐โ during the National Symposium on Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development 2023 (NSAARRD 2023) on October 13, 2023 at DOST-PCAARRD, Los Baรฑos, Laguna.
NSAARRD is an annual event conducted by the Department of Science and Technology โ Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) that is a venue to disseminate R&D results and the countryโs most outstanding outputs. Further, it keeps stakeholders well-informed of innovations for the agriculture aquatic and natural resources (AANR) sector.
Along with Dr. Barlaan as presenters were Dr. Fulgent P. Coritico of Central Mindanao University (CMU) of NOMCAARRD and Engr. Arlene C. Joaquin of the Philippine Center for Post-Harvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) of CLAARRDEC.
In 2022, Dr. Barlaanโs research paper won during the Regional Symposium on Research and Development Highlights conducted by the SOCCSKSARGEN Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (SOXAARRDEC) held in USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Spearheaded by DOST-PCAARRD, the event, streamed through Facebook Live, hosted three research papers for research and three papers for the development category. The announcement for the best research and best development papers is in November.
