Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel, the President of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) along Dr. Leorence C. Tandog, the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), and Dr. Jay-ar Vildac, Director of Finance and Management Services (FMS) Office, participated in the Leaders’ Dialogue 2025 at Cinco Niña’s, Koronadal South Cotabato on August 20, 2025.
Guided by its theme: “Aligning regional Strategic Initiatives to ACHIEVE Higher Education Excellence,” the activity aims to: provide updates on CHED policies and programs to help HEIs align with national and regional goals; encourage meaningful discussions on important issues and opportunities in higher education; strengthen collaboration among HEIs and regional groups to improve quality and promote innovation; and identify common priorities and actions to enhance excellence, inclusivity, and competitiveness in higher education.
Led by CHED Regional Office XII Director Rody P. Garcia, MDM, JD, Ed.D, the presidents and heads of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Region XII came together for the event.
In the same occasion, the Certificates of program Compliance (COPC) of the programs, Bachelor of Science in Midwifery and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy were awarded to USM.
