USM Brings Career Opportunities Closer Through Job Fair for Graduating Students

The University of Southern Mindanao- Pigcawayan brought its services closer to local students through an on-site enrollment activity held on June 11, 2025.
The initiative, led by USM through University Information and Communication Technology Office (UICTO), aimed to make enrollment more accessible for incoming first-year students in the municipality.
A total of 38 students completed their enrollment during the activity, benefiting from direct assistance and reduced travel costs, as they no longer needed to go to the main campus in Kabacan.
The UICTO represented by Director Prof. Eugene Ranjo, Prof. Clarence Dave Galas, and Mr. Mario Rentuaya, provided technical support to ensure a smooth and efficient enrollment process.
“Mas maganda dahil mas malapit na ang USM, hindi na need magpunta sa Kabacan. Nagpapasalamat po kami dahil hindi na namin kailangang gumastos ng malaki para sa pamasahe papunta sa main [Kabacan],” said Joelson Zamora, an incoming first-year student, when asked about the presence of USM in Pigcawayan and the convenience of on-site enrollment.
USM Pigcawayan continues to coordinate with local government units and other partners to strengthen its programs and services, bringing quality tertiary education within reach of more students in the area.
