USM Interns Lead Seminar-Workshop to Equip Students with Coping Skills for Stress and Anxiety

May 6, 2024From April 29 to May 1, 2024, the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), actively participated in the Training of Trainers on Digital Farmers Program (DFP) 101 & 102. The training took place at the Agricultural Training Institute- Southern Mindanao Training Center (ATI-STC XII) in USM Kabacan, Cotabato. Two representatives from USM joined the training: Ms. Janice M. Bangoy from USMARDC and Mr. Leonard N. Latido from SOXAARRDEC. Along with them, there were 24 other participants.
During the training, participants of the program underwent a series of workshops and activities aimed at enhancing their digital skills in the field of agriculture. One highlight of the training was the use of Canva app, where participants were tasked to create eye catching social media posts to promote their farming initiatives.
In addition to social media mastery, the participants also immersed in marketing planning. They learned how to develop effective strategies to reach their target audience and promote their agricultural products and services.
The micro teaching session was also included in the program, allowing the participants to showcase their teaching skills in an interactive and engaging manner. This session provided an opportunity for the trainers to share their knowledge and expertise with fellow participants, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
On May 1, 2024, the culmination program of the training brought recognition and accolades for outstanding achievements. OMAG Alamada stood out with their exceptional social media marketing plan, while OPAg and OMAG Kabacan received praise for their exemplary micro teaching session. Also, USM, represented by Ms. Janice M. Bangoy, won an award for the best social media promotion ad. As a reward for their efforts, they got a one-year subscription to the Canva Pro app.
The dedication of all the 26 participants did not go unnoticed. They were also awarded certificates of completion, marking their successful completion of the Training of Trainers on Digital Farmers Program.
