USM Sends Delegation to National AACCUP Training in Davao

Personnel from the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) and the members of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pigcawayan headed by Mayor Juanito C. Agustin, gathered on August 13, 2024, at Poblacion 3, Pigcawayan, Cotabato to discuss the necessary documents in putting up another USM external campus.
“Ang [magkaroon ng] USM sa Pigcawayan is not [only] my vision anymore, it has become my obsession na dapat makuha ko para sa future sang mga kabataan kag makatabang sa mga ginikanan”, Mayor Agustin expressed.
Program offerings at the soon-to-be campus are pre-med and science and technology-related.
The team also visited LGU-Pigcawayan’s medical facilities and the proposed campus site.
The team scheduled another meeting to ensure the establishment of USM in Pigcawayan. Engr. Renel M. Alucilja, Director of the Planning and Development Office (PDO), Ms. Margie B. Galang, the Chief Administrative Officer, and Ms. Jean E. Austria, the Planning Officer, were the representatives of USM.
To date, it is worth noting that USM has six (6) existing external campuses in the nearby municipalities, namely Kidapawan City, Alamada, Libungan, Aleosan, M’lang, and Antipas.
