As a premier higher education institution in Region XII, the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) reaffirmed its leadership in internationalization efforts by spearheading the recent Website Enhancement Strategies Workshop hosted by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office XII (CHEDRO XII) on April 22, 2025, at the CHEDRO XII Regional Center, Koronadal City.
USM representatives, Prof. Bryan Lloyd Bretaña, Prof. Eugene Ranjo, and Prof. Alvin Mibalo, shared their expertise on key areas such as website development best practices, international accessibility standards, and the use of analytics to drive web performance. Their insights aimed to empower participating institutions to strengthen their digital presence and align with global education standards.
A total of 11 Higher Education Institutions (HEls), took part in the capacity-building event themed “Strengthening Institutional Visibility: Enhancing HEI Websites for Global Competitiveness.”
In an interview with the University Public Relations and Information Office (UPRIO), Prof. Bretaña highlighted USM’s upcoming initiatives, including on-site visits to various HEls across the region to offer targeted support and mentorship.These efforts are part of USM’s strong commitment to advancing the internationalization and global competitiveness of the higher education sector in Region XII.
