The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) and the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) have entered into a formal partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of the Iskolar ng Landbank Program, a corporate social responsibility initiative that provides educational assistance to deserving students across the country.
The MOA signing was held on June 4, 2025 at Office of the President, Admin Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato with USM President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel and Office of the Student Affairs Director Dr. Ma. Leida Donque.
The Iskolar ng Landbank Program offers financial aid to students enrolled in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), particularly those from low-income families, to help them complete their tertiary education. Under the agreement, Landbank will provide financial assistance to selected scholars enrolled at USM, while the university will oversee the screening and monitoring of beneficiaries in coordination with Landbank.
This collaboration highlights USM’s ongoing efforts to broaden access to higher education through partnerships that support student welfare and inclusive development.
