The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) is the only Higher Education Institution (HEI) in Region XII that will be conferred with the Internationalization Champion of Nation-building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2024 (International Rankings Awards), as announced by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) International Affairs Service (IAS) on October 22, 2024.
USM is among the country’s institutions that excelled in international rankings, including the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Ranking, Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, and World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).
According to CHED IAS, the Ranking Awards are given to Philippine HEIs that championed the global reputation of Philippine higher education through their commendable performance.
The awarding ceremony of the Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2024 will take place at the Jose Rizal Hall, Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City on October 25, 2024.
