The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) held its prestigious Gabi ng Parangal on September 28, 2024, at the USM Auditorium, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Twenty-six USM tricycle drivers who exhibited integrity by returning lost items left by passengers in their tricycle units received a Gawad Katapatan plaque and token of appreciation. Moreover, several prestigious awards were presented, including Gawad Kabalikat and Gawad Pamumuno. These awards were awarded to USM stakeholders for their leadership, support, and achievements in various fields.
Further, the USM Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Office also honored USM employees for their excellence in research, public service, impactful publications, and academic achievements through Gawad Saliksik, Gawad Tagumpay, Gawad Lingkod Bayan, and Gawad Lathala awards.
Also, Ulirang Kawani, Ulirang Sangay, Special Awards, Gawad Karunungan, Saludo Empleyado Award, and Gawad Pagpupugay were awarded to employees from different ranks, units, and offices for their relevant contribution to the accreditation and licensure examinations.
USM President Dr. Francisco Gil N. Garcia expressed his gratitude to the awardees and emphasized that the collective efforts of the members of the USM community and partners helped USM achieve its mission.
Cotabato Governor Emmylou “Lala” Taliño-Mendoza gave a message as one of the awardees of Gawad Kabalikat. She underscored that the strong partnership between USM and its stakeholders paved the way for the university’s success and expressed that the province would continuously support USM.
The annual event celebrated the outstanding contributions of university employees, stakeholders, and partner agencies, who significantly contributed to advancing the mission of USM.
