The University of Southern Mindanao – Gender and Development (GAD) Office conducted a Fun Run for a Cause on March 14, 2025, at USM, Kabacan, Cotabato, to celebrate Women’s Month.
Prof. Roselyn Clemen, GAD Focal Person, highlighted that the event went beyond promoting fitness and wellness, serving as a charitable initiative to support vulnerable children in the community.





The event attracted participation from the USM community, including students, faculty, and staff. It was conducted in collaboration with the National Service Training Program (NSTP), Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), University Student Government (USG), Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (ISPEAR), USM Volunteers Club, and the Political Science Society (PolSci). The event demonstrated the university’s commitment to gender equality, inclusivity, and community development.
Donations collected during the Fun Run will be used to provide educational materials to children in need, making a meaningful impact on their learning journey.
