The University of Southern Mindanao Extension Services Office (ESO) conducted a training on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) at the ESO T/C Room in Kabacan, Cotabato, on July 2, 2024.

Mr. Jerome Bactol, MCD, LPT, the Project Manager of Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) of the World Food Programme Cotabato Sub-Office, served as the resource person for the training. As an expert, he provided insights and guidance to the participants. He discussed the gains and challenges of M&E, the best practices of WFP in terms of M&E, and the effectiveness and efficiency indicators.

In her closing message, Glyn G. Magbanua, PhD, the ESO Director, noted that although participants already knew M&E coming to the training, the activity provided them with new knowledge while building upon their schema of M&E.

College Extension Coordinators, Extension Project Leaders, the Monitoring and Evaluation Team of the ESO, and personnel from the Research Development and Extension (RDE) Unit of the University attended the training.

The training aims to develop a comprehensive understanding of M&E frameworks and strategies for effective monitoring, enhance skills in designing M&E plans, improve data collection and management techniques, and ensure ethical standards and quality assurance in M&E.
