USM Employees Dance at Annual Faculty and Staff Showtime

Festive colors and graceful dance movements dominate the dance floor as the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) conducted its Faculty and Staff Showtime on September 28, 2024, at the University Auditorium, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

As one of the highlights of the weeklong celebration of USM’s 70th Founding Anniversary, six teams competed and featured music hits and dance crazes from the 1950s to 2024.

The University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan City Campus once again was hailed the champion with a cash prize amounting to ₱70,000.

Meanwhile, Group Five (5), composed of the College of Business Development Economics, and Management (CBDEM), College of Education (CED), Institute Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (ISPEAR), College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), College of Human Ecology and Food Sciences (CHEFS), and the University Laboratory School (ULS), took home the first runner-up with a cash prize of ₱50, 000.

Group six (6), comprised of performers from the USM Palma Cluster Campus, Institute of Middle East and Asian Studies (IMEAS), College of Health Sciences (CHS), College of Agriculture (CA), College of Trades and Industries (CTI), and the College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT), grabbed the 2nd runner-up and received 30,000 pesos. The auditorium was filled with resounding cheers and applause from the audience during the performances of USM employees.

Francisco Gil N. Garcia, PhD, University President, with some members of the board of regents, Vice Presidents, students, alumni, and visitors witnessed the activity.
