USM Participates in DOST-SEI Project STAR’s Nuclear CAMP

The Office of the Mayor of LGU Kabacan, spearheaded by Hon. Evangeline Pascua Guzman, provided three sacks of rice to the University of Southern Mindanao Modern Dance Troupe (UMDT) and the B’dadali Dance Troupe dancers on August 10, 2024 at the USM Auditorium, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Prof. Jessa Buisan, the Director of the University Culture and Arts Office (UCAO) of USM, expressed her appreciation to LGU Kabacan’s unwavering support. In a Facebook post she said: “Thank you Lord, [yung] hindi mo kailangan hingiin, kusang binigay… Maraming salamat po, Mayor Evangeline Pascua Guzma for being so generous to our student artists! God bless you, your family, and the entire Unlad Kabacan Team.”
The rice donation is for the consumption of performers during practices in preparation for the Kapagayan Festival in Kabacan. USM and the local government of Kabacan continuously collaborate on several initiatives to impact the community.
