USM Extends Love on Valentine’s Day Through Community Outreach

The University of Southern Mindanao College of Medicine (USM COM) secured 4th place overall at the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges – Student Network (APMC-SN) Mindanao Convention 2025, held from February 12-15, 2025 at Jose Maria College, Davao City.
Marking as their third participation in the event, the delegation grew from 43 to 63 students. USM COM competed with well-established medical schools in urban centers and excelled in the academic as well as in the non-academic competitions.
In the academic category, USM COM was announced champion in Medical Research, 1st runner-up in the Medical Quiz Bee and 2nd runner-up in the Clinicopathologic Case Competition. In the Non-academic category, USM-COM claimed 1st runner-up in the Amazing Race, 2nd runner-up in mixed volleyball, and Mobile Legends (E-sports), 3rd runner-up in MedGroove (Dance competition), and 4th runner-up in MedRhythmia (Chorale showdown).
With a total of 350 points, USM COM secured 4th place overall, finishing just 50 points behind the top three medical schools during the convention namely, Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF), Brokenshire College, and Jose Maria College (JMC)
