The College of Agriculture (CA) faculty and staff welcomed Dr. Efren E. Magulama as the new dean of the college in a ceremony conducted at the CA Main Lobby, University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan, Cotabato, on April 11, 2024.
Dr. Ardniel A. Baladjay, who served as college dean since August 2023, turned-over the key of responsibility to Dr. Magulama. In his speech, he underscored: “I hope it is full enthusiasm that I got serving and working with you all. To our beloved staff, students, and stakeholders, I hope I give justice to the trust and confidence you bestowed upon me as your dean for seven months.”
“To my successor, Dr. Efren, whom I considered my Ama in our place, may you continue to spark the torch for more achievements to our beloved CA.” He ended.
Meanwhile, in his acceptance message, Dr. Magulama highlighted his appreciation to the CA faculty and said: “I look forward for us to continuously work together and support each other for the success of our college as well as at the University”.
Dr. Magulama, who recently turned-over the directorship of the University of Southern Mindanao Agricultural Research and Development Center (USMARDC) to Dr. Jurhamid C. Imlan, is the 18th dean of the College of Agriculture.
