UICTO Hosts DSSC ICTC Team for ICT Initiative Expansion

The University Information and Communication Technology Office (UICTO) of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), led by Prof. Eugene Ranjo, recently hosted the visit of the ICTC team of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) on August 21, 2024.

The visit, headed by Dr. Felomino P. Alba, the ICTC Director of DSSC, aimed to explore and exchange best practices, technologies, and commercialization strategies in ICT.

Key discussions focused on faculty assignments in the ICT Center and addressing copyright issues related to locally developed information systems.

The DSSC ICTC Team, which included Carljohn Tuerco, Carl Ohmar Montoya, Victorino Carillo, and Gerald Albacite, also inspected USM UICTO’s facilities, the Data Center, and computer rooms—utilized by the faculty members and students.

The activity is part of DSSC’s broader efforts to enhance their knowledge and capacity on ICT through collaboration with USM UICTO’s initiatives.
