๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ญ๐ฏ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฎ – SOXAARRDEC through its Consortium Director, Dr. Josephine R. Migalbin and R&D Cluster Coordinator, Dr. Jurhamid C. Imlan attended the 12th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Rubber Research Institute (PRRI), one of its Consortium Member Institutions, at Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The program highlighted the Research Development and Extension activities, accomplishments, and the milestones of the institute over the years.
Dr. Migalbin emphasized in her speech that she cannot afford not to attend the anniversary since PRRI is definitely an active member as it usually sends representatives during meetings and capacity buildings.
“PRRI has contributed to the success of the consortium and we will make sure to fully support them in all its endeavors.” she added.
Moreover, representatives from Western Mindanao Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESMAARRDEC), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU), Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office IX (DA RFO IX), and Rubber Farmer Associations were also present in the event.
Furthermore, Dr. Girlie R. Saludo, the OIC-Director of PRRI, expressed in her speech that unity will create an opportunity to bring the rubber-related concerns to its desired ends. She ended her speech by encouraging the audience to shout “Mabuhay ang PRRI!” which signifies the optimism of the institute to carry out more accomplishments in the future.
The consortium continues to believe that collaboration will pave the way to success not only for the consortium but also for its member agencies.
