June 20, 2022πππππππ‘, ππ’π§ππππ§π’ – With the target to reach more communities by developing linkages, SOXAARRDEC forged a new collaboration with Islamic Relief’s COVID-19 Adaptation and Recovery through Economic and Social Protection and Support (I-CARES) Project of Islamic Relief Worldwide- Philippines (IRW-Ph) today, June 15, 2022, at the SOXAARRDEC Conference Hall, USM-DPTC Building, Kabacan, Cotabato.
Islamic Relief Worldwide- Philippines (IRW-PH), as it is commonly known, is a humanitarian and development project that serves 40 active countries for 37 years already. As it holds the ‘Islamic’ word in its name, the I-CARES puts emphasis on being inclusive and responds to the needs of at-risk communities regardless of race, political affiliation, gender or belief. The organization focuses on interventions for livelihood, protection, and governance.
The consortium made initial inputs on the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IRW-Ph, highlighting its role to assist in the conduct of trainings and seminars on Halal-related initiatives and to provide planting materials for sustainable vegetable production for community-based madrasah.
With the R&D Management and Coordination as one of its banner programs, SOXAARRDEC aims to flourish in forging new and maintaining existing linkages for the benefit of the farmers and fisherfolks in the SOCCSKSARGEN region.
