The University of Southern Mindanao Board of Regents formally and publicly announces that the Search for two (2) Private Sector Representatives to the Board of Regents is now open.

The General Criteria set for the Selection shall be as follows:

1. He or she must be a natural born Filipino citizen;
2. From an industry, business, or profession preferably related to the SUC’s charter or mandate;
3. Have at least five years of employment, business, or practice of profession in the private sector;
4. Be domiciled in or a resident for at least two (2) years of Cotabato Province;
5. Not connected with the University of Southern Mindanao or other government agencies and instrumentalities in any manner, for one (1) year immediately prior to his or her nomination to the PSR position;
6. Not currently employed or appointed to any position in the government (local, national, including government-owned and controlled corporations), be it full time or part time, at the time of the nomination for the PSR position;
7. Not related to any member of the present Board or their duly authorized representatives, within fourth civil degree of consanguinity or affinity; and,
8. Not have been a candidate who lost in any national or local election, except for barangay elections, within one (1) year after such election.

The selection for the private sector representative shall be based on their respective qualifications and weight of their contributions, vis-à-vis, knowledge, expertise, and depth and breadth of expertise as ascertained by the Search Committee and further deliberated upon and confirmed by the USM Governing Board.

Interested parties may get the prescribed forms from the Office of the Board Secretary, 2nd Floor, Administration Building, USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.

The application letter and documents shallbe filed personally, through a representative, by registered mail, or by authorized private courier, should be addressed to:

Deadline for the submission of application documents is on or before June 7, 2024. Documents sent via mail or courier should be received on or before the set deadline. Online submissions are allowed subject to submission of hard copies of the same.
