March 11, 2023๐๐’๐ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐-๐ญ๐ต ๐๐ฎ๐!
National COVID-19 Day falls on every March 11 of the year since this was the day that the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a global pandemic. The purpose of establishing this day is to come together as a community and take a minute to stop, think, remember, and inspire one another and hope for the better days in the future. Resilience is one quality that speaks most loudly during the pandemic and it helped human spirit shine through all the grief and mind-numbing tiredness.
After series of lockdowns and restrictions aimed at stopping the spread of the virus, no one has gone unscathed by COVID-19. Our society’s mental health has suffered as a result of isolation and physical separation. Millions of jobs have been destroyed, businesses were closed, and most cruelly, deaths happened. While our individual experiences may differ, we know that each person has made major sacrifices for the greater good.
This day solidifies this collective experience and brings us all to help the world move toward healing and hope.
