The last time humanity had set its foot on the moon was in 1972 as the Apollo mission of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) was completed. Since then, the world of science has continued to carefully plan humanity’s next flight to the cosmos, with the Artemis.
After the success of Artemis I mission which put the systems of the Orion Spacecraft to the test last 2022, the Artemis II mission of the NASA and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is set to launch in 2024. This mission will test how ready the Orion Spacecraft’s life-support system is โ by sending four astronauts to a 10-day trip around the moon โ to let humans live and work in deep space.
Today, NASA will name them and until then, the question that will echo in our minds is: Whose foot will leave a print on the moon again?
