The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed January 24 as International Day of Education, in celebration of the role of education for peace and development. Under the theme: “To Invest in People, Prioritize Education”, let this day be our collective call to our authorities to put education in the forefront by translating commitments, targets, and initiatives into concrete action.
While we keep on rallying for better education reforms and improved education access for all, we shall keep on hoping for more conducive environment for learning, better equipped teachers and instructors, and more compassionate climate for teaching and learning.
