FSMS DAY 2023: PROMOTIONAL VIDEO CONTEST
Mechanics:
1. The contest is open to all teams with registered members of the Future Secondary Mentors’ Society. Hiring professional videographers and editors is allowed as long as the director and other members of the production team are registered members of the society.
2. An individual or group may be featured in the promotional video, sharing their testimonies, experiences, and reasons for choosing their courses and majors.
3. Entries must include some topics, lessons, and advantages of the program in which they are currently enrolled.
4. The videos and pictures must have been originally captured by the students to avoid crimes against property. Also, music should be free from copyright.
5. The video content can be vlogs or documentaries. The language to be used must be English, Filipino, or a local dialect with English subtitles.
6. The length of the video must be at least 3 minutes and not exceed 5 minutes. It must be submitted in digital format (MP4) with at least 720p resolution.
7. Each team may submit only one (1) video entry. Entries must not have been used or entered in any other competition or published in any media and posted online for whatever purpose prior to the start of the competition and during the competition.
8. Entries must be submitted to the USM mail of the FSMS Vice President at [email protected] via Google Drive on or before January 25, 2023, with the title flashed in the title card as a file name. Entries must indicate the following details:
a) Full name of the Team Leader
b) Course/Major
c) Contact Number
d) Brief Description of the Video
9. Entries will be uploaded to the official Facebook page of the Future Secondary Mentors’ Society for online viewing. The video that receives the most Facebook reactions will be given points to be added to the overall champion point system.
10. Criteria for Judging:
i. Relevance and Content – 40%
ii. Creativity/ Originality – 35%
iii. Audio and Video Quality – 25%
iv. Total: 100%
11. The decisions of the organizing committee and the Board of Judges are final and irrevocable.
