It’s two hours before the biggest rally for the planet โ Earth Hour. This is an annual global event organized by WWF (World Wild Fund for Nature) encouraging individuals, communities, corporates, and households to turn off their lights to show support for the fight against climate change and commitment towards a better planet.
At USM Microbiology Society, we encourage everyone to spare at least an hour of turning off our lights and zero electricity usage for the Earth. It is a โsymbolicโ way to raise awareness about climate change. The hour of darkness pulls us out of the busyness of our daily routines and allows us to reflect on the one home we all share.
