The last Thursday before easter is known as Maundy Thursday or Holy Thursday, in which we recollect Jesus Christ’s last supper on Earth with his 12 Apostles. Here, we remember how He washed the feet of the Apostles and performed the first Eucharist in His memory. Through this practice, we can be one with Jesus Christ by accepting His body and blood as bread and wine.
It’s also the day that we Christians remember the last command of Jesus Christ which is “to love one another”, which reminds us to foster positive peace with our surroundings to prevent war and violence from existing.
