ESO Hosts Benchmarking and Training Activity for NEMSU Personnel

The Extension Services Office (ESO) hosted a three-day activity for 26 visitors from the North Eastern Mindanao State University – Lianga Campus. The first day was a courtesy call and benchmarking activity on extension services. For the second day, resource persons from Kidapawan City, coordinated through the Department of Agriculture in Kidapawan, provided training on (1) tiger grass prodiction (2) tiger grass brooms making (3) rag making. RPs: from kidapawan city . Participants also had hands-on experience and worked through the night to finish their projects. During the third day, the participants had a field tour of the USM campus and attended the closing program.

Participants from NEMSU-Lianga Campus appreciated the warm welcome offered by USM key officials and the ESO. They learned how extension services can be applied even in non-academic fields. ESO Director Mary Joy Cañolas thanked the participants for choosing USM for their benchmarking and training, and invited the participants to future collaboration in extension with USM.
