DOST XII and USM Sign MOA on R&D Project

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region XII and the University of Southern Mindanao signed a Memorandum of Agreement last August 12, 2022 at the DOST regional office in Koronadal City. The project seeks to implement the project entitled, Commercialization of Chevon Food Products and Standardization of Processing Center. The project contains five components: the improvement of the Halal Processing Center, database development and management, product development and mass production of additional chevon products, analysis of consumer acceptability, and product positioning. The project is headed by Prof. Jalaloden B. Marohom, with a project duration of 18 months.

The MOA signing was attended by Prof. Marohom and Dr. Samsudin Panday, the Vice President for Resource Generation and Entrepreneurial Services, together with Engr. Sammy P. Malawan, the Regional Director of DOST XII, and Mr. Michael T. Mayo, the Provincial Director for the Cotabato Provincial Office.
