The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) President Dr. Jonald L. Pimentel welcomed Dr. Sailila E. Abdula, the Branch Director of the Department of Agriculture -Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) – Midsayap Experimental Station (PhilRice-MES) during his courtesy visit, on March 04, 2025, at the Office of the President (OP), USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
During the visit, the USM President highlighted his interest in innovation as one of his priorities under his administration through strengthening possible research collaboration with Philrice-MES.
Moreover, with the current seed production facility of Philrice-MES in USM, Dr. Abdula eyes to sustain the progressive partnership of the station with USM in the future.
