[In a remarkable show of support for the Mindanao Institute of Technology-University of Southern Mindanao Alumni Association, Inc. (MIT-USMAAI), Congresswoman Maria Alana Samantha T. Santos has generously donated 5 million pesos for the construction of a multi-purpose hall and alumni affairs office at the university. This donation aims to enhance the facilities for alumni engagement and strengthen the ties between the university and its graduates.
The donation is a significant step toward improving the university’s infrastructure and providing an ideal space for alumni gatherings, events, and meetings. The multi-purpose hall will serve as a venue for various activities, from conferences and seminars to social events, making it a central hub for MIT-USM alumni. The creation of an alumni affairs office will further help in fostering better communication and collaboration between the alumni and the university, facilitating support for ongoing projects and initiatives.Dr. Paul John B. Ongcoy, a key figure in the development project, was seen earlier today during a survey of the area designated for the construction. His presence signals the beginning of the planning and development stages, as the university works closely with various stakeholders to bring this vision to life.
