USM holds DRRM Course for students and employees

The groundbreaking ceremony for the covered court of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) transpired on March 8, 2024, at the College of Trades and Industries (CTI), USM, Kabacan, Cotabato.
In attendance at the ceremony were 3rd District Representative Congresswoman Samantha Santos, Kabacan Mayor Evangeline P. Guzman, Board Member Karen Michie De Guzman, USM President Francisco Gil N. Garcia, USM VPAA Marcos Monderin, Regent Paul Ongcoy and Alumni Officers, and the faculty, staff and students of CTI.
In her message, Mayor Guzman expressed her thanks for the new project and underscored her appreciation to the strong partnership of USM, Cotabato Province, and LGU-Kabacan. “Ang Kabacan ay hindi po nahuhuli pagdating sa mga proyekto dahil sa malakas na suporta na binibigay ng probinsya.” She ended.
Further, USM President Francisco Gil N. Garcia emphasized his appreciation to Congresswoman Samantha for her infrastructure, health, and even scholarship initiatives for the USM community.
Congresswoman Santos highlighted the notable partnership of USM and the Province of Cotabato as beneficial for students and all the people in the district. In line with the women’s month, she also emphasized the value of women showcasing the leaders in the province. She mentioned that for the women, “Despite the struggles in life, strive to do something.”
The soon-to-rise CTI-covered court will serve various events, assemblies, and community activities of the university.
