The awarding was held on September 19, 2019 at the Apo View Hotel, Davao City during the 25th Federation of Crop Science Societies of the Philippines and 1st Federation of Crop Science Societies of the Philippines Scientific Conference.

She sourced out scholarship grant for their Biotechnology students. As Vice President for RD&E from 2010 to 2013, she generated several millions of research funds for USM and developed and copyrighted the USM Research Manual and USM Research Handbook for Thesis Writing.

Her commendable track record truly proves Dr. Sales to be deserving of this year’s prestigious CSSP Honorary Fellow Award. Presenting the award were Marissa V. Romero, chair of Awards and Recognition Committee, and Edna A. Anit, CSSP president.
