Bryan Lloyd P. Bretaña, the Executive Assistant for International Affairs of the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), was re-elected as President of the Council of International Relations Officers (CIRO) Region XII during the Training of International Relations Officers on September 26 to 27, 2024 in Koronadal City.
The Council of International Relations Officers is a non-profit organization of established private and public Higher Education Institutions in Region XII that promotes global partnerships, enhance cross-border academic and research exchanges, and advances the internationalization of higher education.
Through its internationalization accomplishments and global presence, Bretaña, with USM as his agency, will represent the council in external matters and will lead the internationalization efforts in Region XII.
The training was guided by the theme: “Elevating Region XII HEIs through Internationalization, Planning, Global Standards, and Sustainable Development.”
