Programs like 4H and the Zero Hunger Advocacy implented in this institution serve as constant reminders and call to action emphasizing how important plants are to the totality of the global ecosystem and in meeting the daily local needsโespecially in battling the heat.
Plants encompass various essential roles not only in respiration but also in nourishment, medicine, culture, and the aesthetic. A valuable resource it truly is.
This day concerns not only certified plantitos or plantitas, but this is an occasion to raise awareness about the need for protection and conservation and to give due recognition on the importance of plants in sustaining the lives of EVERYONE.
