FAO UN Visits SOXAARRDEC for Collaboration

September 08, 2022- With the goal to seek possible collaboration with SOXAARRDEC through training farmers in the region, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO UN), through Ismael Transmonte, the FAO Project Team Leader and Engr. Robin C. Labra, the FAO National Project Personnel visited the Consortium Director, Dr. Josephine R. Migalbin at the SOXAARRDEC Office, USM, Kabacan Cotabato.

Since USM, the host institution of SOXAARRDEC, is part of the project on value chain on cattle production with a component on silage production using lactic acid bacteria for fermentation, a training on feeding cattle with silage is the proposed initial training for the stakeholders. Members of the Kabacan Agri-Resources and Livestock Farmers Association and Marbel Agri-Farmers Association were present in the meeting.

Korea International Cooperating Agency (KOICA) is the funding donor of the FAO UN Project where Dr. Migalbin is one of the consultants.
