USM Agricultural Innovations Presented in the AAACU Conference in Thailand

The University of Southern Mindanao successfully forged new partnerships with other Asian universities during the Biennial Conference of the Asian Association of Agricultural Colleges and Universities (AAACU) held on July 4-8, 2022. Two Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) were signed–one with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Indonesia, and another with Maejo University in Thailand. In addition, USM joined the ASEAN Agriculture University Network (AAUN) Forum. USM’s network with other agricultural universities solidify each entity’s commitment in various degrees of cooperation such as through faculty exchange, participation in academic conferences and activities, program development, and joint research endeavors. These activities are anticipated to uphold USM’s RDE engagements to a global scale.
USM was represented by the Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, Dr. Ma. Teodora N. Cabasan during the Ceremonial signing of the MOU, with Dr. Mary Joy S. Cañolas in attendance.
