USM yields 42 newly registered nurses

Proving yet again that University of Southern Mindanao (USM) is one of the leading schools in Southern Mindanao, USM produced anew five topnotchers alongside 167 licensed professional teachers (LPT) in the September 2019 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).
Among the five topnotchers, four were from the Secondary Level: Top 1 – Marlou P. Camano BSED-Mathematics (USM-KCC) with a rating of 93.40%; Top 9 – Glendel L. Cayabyab BSED- Biological Science (USM-Main) with a score of 90.80%; Top 10 – Kristhony June T. Gomez BSED-Biological Science (USM-Main) with a rating of 90.60%; and Top 10 – Christine Mae A. Soliva BSED-Filipino (USM-KCC) with a score of 90.60%. Meanwhile, for the Elementary Level, Top 8- Chenee G. Milagros BEED (USM-Kabacan) made it to the list with a rating of 90.20%.
The University registered a national passing rate of 23.84% in LET BEED and 33.78% for USM-Main and 39.50% for USM-Kidapawan City Campus (KCC) for BSE.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on December 2 that 54,179 of 136,523 (39.68%) passed the LET for BSE. Moreover, 28,973 out of 92,440 (31.34%) passed the examination for BEED.
PRC administered the second LET board exam this year on September 29, 2019 in at least 26 testing centers in the country such as the following: Baguio, Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Kidapawan, Manila, Palawan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Pagadian.
