Kabacan, Cotabato—Building on the momentum of the Newswriting Training-Workshop held a week prior, the University of Southern Mindanao Extension Services Office (USM-ESO) conducted a Training-Workshop on Basic Photography on February 7, 2025, at the ESO Conference Room. The event aimed to further enhance the skills of project leaders, education program specialists, and student members of project management teams involved in ESO 2025 projects by equipping them with essential basic photography techniques.
This follow-up training was designed to complement the previous workshop on newswriting by ensuring participants could effectively capture high-quality images to complement their written project reports.
Thirty-eight participants from various offices and colleges, including the Research Development Office (RDO), College of Agriculture (CA), College of Science and Mathematics (CSM), College of Business, Development, Economics, and Management (CBDEM), College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), and College of Trades and Industry (CTI), were in attendance.
Rey John O. Cortez, a former Chief Photojournalist of USM Official Publication–The Mindanao Tech, and currently an office staff member at the Extension Services Office (ESO), served as the resource person.
“Photography is more than just taking pictures; it is about telling stories that capture the essence of our projects and initiatives,” Cortez emphasized.
