January 9, 2025Continuously providing quality and relevant education for its clientele, the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) produced a total of nine (9) topnotchers in the different licensure and certification examinations conducted in the year 2024.
Recently, Kame Ramona Edjz Lozare Lamata, a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) Major in Mathematics graduate, ranked 10th in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) as announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on December 13, 2024. Lamata earned a 92.60% overall score for the said exam. In March 2024, two (2) graduates from USM- Kidapawan City Campus (USM-KCC), namely, Molly Krister Q. Nalas and Engr. Darl Charles B. Balleco ranked third and ninth in LEPT, respectively, as announced on May 24, 2024. Nalas, who earned a 92.40% rating, is a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) major in Mathematics graduate, while Engr. Balleco, with a 91% rating, finished a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and earned Professional Education units.
Then, in November 2024, Sabtura Cuadra Delfino, a graduate of USM’s Diploma in Midwifery program, placed 6th in the Midwifery Licensure Examination (MLE) with a score of 91.20%. Her batch achieved a 100% passing rate in the exam.
Another successful passer was Kristel Mae R. Calixton, a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries graduate who secured the second spot with an average of 91.25% in the October 2024 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals (LEFP).
Also on the list is Keneth Cole Audencial, who ranked second in the October 2024 Chemical Technicians Licensure Examination (CTLE) with a 91.00% rating.
Meanwhile, Jareeza Hoy Kamag, a Magna Cum Laude AB Psychology graduate, Class of 2024, secured the 9th highest score earning an 85.60% rating in the Board Licensure Examination for Psychologists and Psychometricians (BLEPP) on August 20, 2024.
Lastly, as released by the Philippine Academy of Microbiology (PAM) on February 23, 2024, Roslaine Maulana and Jonah Mae Taping joined the list of topnotchers in the Certification Examination for Registered Microbiologists (RMicro). Maulana ranked 3rd, while Taping took the 10th spot in the exam conducted on January 20-21, 2024, at SMX Convention Center, Manila.
Over the past ten (10) years, the USM Main Campus has produced a total of forty-three (43) topnotchers, and USM-KCC has proudly registered seven (7) topnotchers across various licensure examinations.
